Great Schools Equal Strong Communities
While we cannot solve all these challenges, we believe it’s important as a local business that we demonstrate our commitment to our local students and invest in their well-being. We know that great schools equal strong communities. Our overall quality of life and the vibrancy of our economy and neighborhoods depend on it.
We are proud to launch the Pride of the Prairie Campaign, an initiative to rally support and raise funds for student programs. OlyFed is going to contribute $7,500 to kickoff and seed the fund. In addition, each time someone opens a new Journey Checking account at our Yelm Branch, we will donate $25 to the fund.
One hundred percent of the proceeds contributed to this fund will go to the district’s ASB account, which will be used for athletic programs and after-school activities that were impacted by budget cuts. More specifically, dollars will be used in areas like:
- Funding assistance to cover activity fees for low-income students
- Transportation, officiating and equipment needs
- Performing arts and music programs
- And so much more
Better Together
Our hope is that other local businesses and individuals will join us in contributing to this fund, so we give our Yelm youth a healthy and safe place to learn, grow, explore their interests and take part in experiences that otherwise would not be available to them. We believe every child in Yelm deserves the chance to succeed and reach their full potential and this is another collective opportunity to make it happen.
