Kayla Ferguson Celebrates 10 Years with OlyFed

Congratulations to Kayla Ferguson, AVP/Senior Loan Underwriter, on celebrating her 10-year work anniversary with OlyFed.

Kayla Rice of OlyFed at Uncork & Unwind in Olympia WashingtonKayla began her OlyFed career in December 2014 as a Customer Service Representative (CSR) at the Downtown branch and was quickly promoted to Lead CSR for the branch. In September 2015, she was promoted to Savings Counselor and in 2017 she was named Loan Processor/Closer. It was Kayla’s leadership, commitment to lifelong learning and excellence in customer service that contributed to her promotion to Assistant Branch Manager in September 2017, and just a year later, she was named Branch Manager.

Kayla’s product and industry knowledge made her a go-to resource in the branch and throughout the organization and in February 2021 she was promoted to Loan Servicing Manager and then Loan Underwriter less than a year later.

In November 2023, Kayla completed Washington Banker’s Association’s Executive Development Program — a comprehensive course designed to cultivate the next generation of banking leaders. Participants of the program gain insight into important economic, regulatory and competitive pressures facing the industry today. In April 2024, Kayla was made an officer of the bank and promoted to Assistant Vice President (AVP), Loan Underwriter, and in October 2024 she was promoted AVP, Senior Loan Underwriter where she continues to help with the bank’s lending decisions and processes.

“In her ten years at OlyFed, Kayla has continuously sought out new challenges and opportunities,” Josh Deck, President & CEO said. “Her commitment to learning and growth has made her an invaluable asset to our team. She is committed to excellence and innovation and we are fortunate to have her leadership.”

Her colleagues will tell you she is the epitome of calm, cool and collected. However, don’t let her tranquil demeanor fool you, she can become quite animated, especially when it comes to protecting the bank. She once sprinted outside to stop someone who was pulling flowers out of the flower beds in front of the branch. Some fun facts about Kayla: She loves Kenny Chesney and she’s a duck farmer! She and her husband take their four-year-old son out each day to collect their eggs.

Please join us in congratulating and thanking Kayla for 10 years with OlyFed!
