On Friday, January 3, 2020, we were notified a number of our customers’ Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions scheduled for that particular day were duplicated. In addition, checks clearing through the ACH network were also affected. Please note this did not include debit card transactions.
Our team was able to quickly identify the problem and work with our service provider to make the necessary corrections to the impacted accounts within just a few hours.
That means if you experienced duplicated transactions on your account, you will see transactions labelled as “reversals”, indicating that the duplicated transactions were corrected. More specifically, Olympia Federal posts credit transactions before posting debit transactions; this means the reversal transactions may not appear next to the duplicated transactions in your account history.
We sincerely apologize for any inconveniences and concerns this may have caused. Your trust is our highest priority and we are grateful for your business. If you have any questions or if you need assistance understanding your statement, please contact your local branch team at (360) 754-3400 as they will be happy to help you.
It’s important to note that this issue does not include debit card transactions and is not a security issue and your personal and financial information remain safe and protected.
Thank you again for your patience and understanding.
